Should we rest and sleep more in the winter?Did you know that humans are meant to rest and sleep more in the winter? With the evolution of reliable and bright indoor lighting, we have mostly forgotten this. But, before all that, we would bed down earlier, retreat indoors and focus more toward interpersonal relationships and resting to recover from the hard work of harvesting food to survive the winter, to get ready for it all to start again in the Spring.

Have a healthy and restful Winter

So – what is stopping you from having a healthy and restful Winter? What routines have you got in place to rest and nourish your body?
Massage is of course an excellent place to start, a great check-in with yourself and your overall health each and every month. If you are not sure if massage is for you, our newer therapists Samantha and Steve are offering massage tasters of just 15 minutes each. Perfect if you are unsure about what is involved with massage or want to meet a therapist or two before making your decision to include massage in your self-care routine.

Sam and Steve

Both Sam and Steve have about fifteen years of experience with massage each, and have worked in a variety of environments from the fire service to the commonwealth games. They bring a knowledge to Astral Fitness that can benefit in more ways than just receiving a massage, and can ensure that you get exactly the right advice for whatever muscular issue you are experiencing.

And even if you are not experiencing anything in particular, and just need to rest and recover from a busy life, then both Samantha and Steve can help you with that too.
