Try Something New – Move Differently This Year

Try Something New – Move Differently This Year

If you’ve reviewed your year, found what needs changing, and built your plan, now it’s time for the fun part – exploring!

Movement is meant to be playful. Yes, really.

When was the last time you moved just for the joy of it? January is the perfect time to reconnect with that childlike curiosity.

Have you ever wanted to try martial arts or dance but thought it was “too late”? It’s not. Many local clubs welcome beginners of all ages. Or maybe horse riding has always intrigued you – it’s brilliant for posture, core strength, and connection with nature.

Find The Right Movement For You

Roller-skating, adult gymnastics, walking clubs, dance classes, and kettlebell sessions are all great ways to add excitement back into your week. Hmmm maybe I am sounding like a broken record because I do talk about all these things a lot… but I am exceptionally passionate about movement of any kind and sincerely want you to find the right movement for you.

Even something as simple as walking a new route can reignite your love of movement. Explore local gems like Hartshill Hayes or Beacon Hill – uneven paths and natural terrain do wonders for balance and foot strength.

The goal

The goal isn’t to overhaul your life. It’s to build a relationship with movement that evolves with you; one that keeps you strong, mobile, and pain-free for years to come.

So, this January, skip the resolutions. Instead, review, refine, and rediscover how you love to move.
