Modifications To Your WorkoutsHello and welcome to this week’s blog, all about modifications to your workouts.

What about if you already can run quite far, and can lift heavy weights, what then?

Well then you are already quite fit, but I can almost guarantee you that you will struggle with at least one thing. Maybe hill running, or lunges, or your shoulders aren’t quite where you want them to be. Or that niggle that is there Then you need to modify exercises in those areas to target the weakness. I have met several people who are absolutely smashing their fitness goals, they are at the top of their game and outperforming many people around them, but… they hurt or injure in one particular area. It is very easy to rely on the big and strong muscles in your body and neglect some of the smaller ones, but this leads to a foundation beneath those strong muscles not being quite as strong as they could be.

This means that you might have to modify right back to basics, bodyweight even, with a lot of your exercises, if not all of them depending on the problem, to work on the weaker areas and allowing yourself to focus on them to build them back up.

What if you don’t know what to modify or how? Then you need to speak to a professional to help you figure it out, and that’s where I come in. Same goes for if you need to start improving your health and fitness, but do not know where to start.
