Hello and welcome to my last blog for February. And there is some exciting news to report… keep reading to the end to find out what it is!

Reducing Exercise Related Pain

I hope that you have enjoyed the last few blogs about reducing pain from your exercise regimes. I thought I would offer some tips into a quick to read list for you. Here are my top five tips to reduce exercise related pain that is not associated with an injury or other medical condition.

Top Five Tips

1. Be well hydrated before, during, and after every workout.
2. Do not overdo the amount of exercise or be too intense with it.
3. Allow ample recovery time after every workout, a day off every week if you work out daily and take a whole week off every 6-10 weeks.
4. Do not ignore pain, seek advice if it feels unusual to you and what you’ve done.
5. Massage can help solve a host of issues leading to pain, include it in your monthly regimen if you have a busy life.

EXCITING NEWS at ASTRAL FITNESS!

Reducing Exercise Related PainSome of you may be aware, as I have been very excited about it, that Astral Fitness is expanding! I have a brand-new associate, Jen Llewellyn, starting with me this year. Jen is embarking on her course this week! However, it will be a little while until you are able to book appointments with her.
You may have seen Jen around too, if you’re a member of www.unitedsandc.co.uk, Jen trains there a few times a week, and I usually join her once or twice too – come and say hello to us!
Jen is very excited to get started working at Astral Fitness, and you will see her around in some of your appointments over the coming months. It is very important for her to gain real-life hands-on experience to enable her to pass her course, so you may well be getting two therapists for the price of one!*
Next month Jen will be taking over some of the blogs to introduce herself to you, and what she hopes to bring to Astral Fitness and your sports massage treatments.

Thank you for taking time to read my blog this week – Reducing Exercise Related Pain. If you have any questions about what massage could do for you, please do get in touch with me on [email protected]

Alternatively, you can go to my booking page on www.astralfitness.co.uk and book yourself an appointment, please do plan ahead though as appointments are going fast.

I also have a Facebook group to aid you with hints and tips with your fitness, head over to www.facebook.com/groups/masteringmobility and request to join!

See you soon,
Chloe
