Dr. NewsonQuite often, when dealing with something like perimenopause, it can feel far reaching and you will need further support other than massage and strength training… although I really do advocate strength training in all its guises to be the first thing you try before anything else.

My next biggest recommendation to clients after giving strength training a go is to contact Dr. Newson of Newson Health Menopause & Wellness Centre, located relatively close to us in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Dr. Newson

Dr. Newson can be found at www.newsonhealth.co.uk and has appeared in the media numerous times to talk about how to help yourself during perimenopause. If you are able, I would highly recommend visiting the clinic, the clients I treat have been absolutely swear by the advice and treatment they receive.

Next up is a book, which was recommended to me by a lovely lady who visits for massage and personal training. That book is Perimenopause Power by Maisie Hill. I started reading this in December last year and it has some useful advice and insights and will give you a greater understanding of what is happening to you or a loved one during this time.

Collagen supplements

Collagen supplements have been known to be a useful booster for women especially from about the age of 35, and more so heading into perimenopause and beyond. Do a little research yourself about whether you feel that is something that would be beneficial to you. Bear a few things in mind before taking the plunge with a collagen supplement – is it aligned with your dietary preferences? Most are not vegan. Has it been filled up with unnecessary fillers? Does it have an effective amount to make a difference? A good one to start looking at is Absolute Collagen at www.abcolutecollagen.com . They also have a range of collagen boosted skincare and haircare.

Last but not least, is a little bottle filled with an almost magical feeling oil, and that is the Naydaya Victory Oil. You can find it here and please know that both Jen and I think it’s brilliant – www.naydaya.com/collections/all-products/products/vagina-victory-oil.

Neither Jen nor I receive any payments of any kind for the recommendations we make here. We recommend them to you because we believe in them and hope for the best for you.
And we hope to see you soon for your first, or your next massage. If something is holding you back, do not hesitate to get in touch with one of us to ask those questions.

Don’t forget to book yourself in if you haven’t already, go to www.astralfitness.co.uk.
