Hello and welcome to this month’s blog, about the exciting changes that are happening here at Astral Fitness this year.

I have an associate joining me at Astral Fitness, Jen Llewellyn, helping me to deliver more sessions of pain relief to more of you, and providing greater flexibility to your appointments should I not have the availability you need.

In case you missed Jen’s introduction in an earlier blog, here it is again for you-

A bit about me – Jen Llewellyn …

Jen Llewellyn - Exciting Times at Astral FitnessHi, I’m Jen. Last year I decided it was time to have a career change. I wanted to work in an area I have a passion for. Somewhere I will thrive in and enjoy. A career where I am happy and look forward to coming to work.

I have always been interested in the human body, anatomy, and fitness, and over the years I have gained experience and qualifications in relevant health fields. I took a career break whilst having a family, and most recently circumstances lead me to live In India for 4 years (oh the stories I could tell).

Throughout my adult years I continue to enjoy fitness, particularly strength training, and often train with my good friend Chloe.

When together, whether it be a hard strength training session, or a walk in the countryside, we often chew the fat about all thing’s health and fitness. It was during one of these conflabs that a comment was flung into the air about me retraining in sports massage therapy, as I clearly had an interest.

After contemplating this, and what direction I wanted to take my career, I decided Chloe was on to something. I am happy to say that I am now due to qualify in Sports Massage Therapy summer 2022. I am very excited to get started.

So where will this journey take me

Well, I am passionate about everyone (but particularly women) feeling comfortable and confident in any fitness surrounding. Sometimes all it takes is a nudge of confidence. Other times it’s about education and guidance in the best movement for you. Everyone has fitness goals, whether it is to compete in the next Olympics, or to have the mobility to reach your feet to put your socks on in the morning. We all need that bit of help along the way to keep us moving and keep us mobile. This is where sports massage therapists can be of assistance. I am confident that with Chloe as my mentor we can keep you moving, keep you motivated and keep you well. Hope to see you soon.
